Welcome to Brandon Ballet’s 2023 production of The Nutcracker! We’re thrilled to have you with us to celebrate this Christmas season.
Extras roles available for dancers and movers ages 7 to adult!
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: Brandon Ballet is offering “Senior Extras” roles in The Nutcracker! In the past, only Beg/Int dancers ages 7-12 were allowed to audition to perform as an extra in our productions. Now, advanced dancers are given a chance to shine as well!
Senior Extras Audition Information – Auditions are closed for 2023. Senior Extras information for 2024 to be announced.

Adult Extras
No audition required.
No dance experience required.

Mandatory In-Studio Run-through: Friday Evening, December 1st
*Please plan to be at the theatre all day on all dress rehearsal and performance days. Specific schedule to be sent soon.

Once accepted, all dancers must be pay a $110 nonrefundable extras fee.
For Nutcracker productions only, all dancers are responsible for selling at least one (1) business card ad to be placed in the season program.
To pay the dues, go to the Brandon Ballet shopping page and select ‘2023 Nutcracker Extras Dues‘.
After adding the dues to your cart, you’ll need to click on your cart in the upper right hand corner of the screen to complete payment.

If you’ve found a local business to place an ad in the program, please direct them to our local small business advertisements page to purchase the size add they want. The advertisements page is also where you’ll pay the ad fee in the event that you do not secure a local business ad.
Emails will be sent with the rehearsal schedules.
Remember, ALL extras must wear a nude leotard underneath their costumes for the Sleeping Beauty performance! The visual below will help you choose the right undergarment for your dancer.

To drop off your dancer, turn into the Riverview parking lot and bring your dancer to the backstage doors. Doors will be marked with signs and there will be volunteers to help guide her where she needs to go.
Parents are NOT allowed backstage.
