Brandon Ballet Announces 2019-2020 Season
The 26th season celebrates the innovation and wonder of ballet through classic fairytales and new works.
With the opening of Brandon Ballet’s 26th season, Artistic Director, Doricha Sales, has announced the company’s performance lineup. The season runs October 2019 through April 2020 and invites audiences to explore the innovation and wonder of ballet with classical repertoire and new works, perfect for both ballet fans and newcomers.

Beers for Barres
Friday, October 4th, 2019
The 26th season kicks off with our 5th annual Beers for Barres event. This event features excerpts from Cinderella’s Ball, Sleeping Beauty, a new works created for this season by guest choreographers, Karina Elver, and Shawn Cusseaux. Additionally, guests will also be able to sample local craft beer and food, as well as meeting with Brandon Ballet Professional Artists.

The Nutcracker
Saturday, December 7th, and Sunday, December 8th, 2019
This holiday classic returns to the Tampa Bay area! When Clara receives a special gift on Christmas Eve, she’s transported on a wonder-filled journey through the land of snow. Coupled with Tchaikovsky’s infamous score, choreography by Artistic Director Doricha Sales is sure to draw in audience members of all ages who will love making Brandon Ballet’s The Nutcracker part of their holiday traditions.
Audience members with young attendees may also want to attend the annual Sugar Plum Fairy Tea on Sunday, November 17th, 2019. This event features cupcakes, beverages, and finger foods, as well as a reading of The Nutcracker story and appearances from the beloved Nutcracker characters, including the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Yuletide Ballet Celebration
Sunday, December 15th, 2019
Enjoy four holiday pieces with Brandon Ballet’s winter gala at the King’s Point Theater. This performance will feature a brand-new work from guest choreographer Karina Elver, as well as a remastering of Doricha Sales’ beloved piece, Elegie. The evening will finish off with “Clara’s Holiday Dream” and Act II of The Nutcracker. Tickets for this event also include a dessert package.

Everlasting
Sunday, April 19th, 2020
Brandon Ballet’s spring gala at the King’s Point Theater will take audience members on a wonder-filled journey through two beloved fairytales. “Cinderella’s Ball” will feature the magical second act of the classic ballet, Cinderella, and her encounter with the handsome prince. Act III of Sleeping Beauty will feature Aurora and her prince, along with other, well-loved fairytale characters, such as Little Red Riding Hood and Puss in Boots. Tickets for this event also include a dessert package.
Sleeping Beauty
Saturday, April 25th, 2020
Experience the wonder of Tchaikovsky’s score and the dancing of the Brandon Ballet artists in the story of everyone’s favorite sleeping princess, Sleeping Beauty. This performance will be presented in two acts, with innovative approaches to the story and a world premiere in Act III. This grand ballet is sure to entertain newcomers and regular attendees alike.
