Mercedes (Mischa) was born in Lubbock, Texas where she began her training with her mother, Ingrid Ferrer-Lozano, former professional dancer with the National Ballet of Mexico City. While in Lubbock, Mercedes danced with the Lozano Dance Company, Texas Tech Ballet, Lubbock Ballet Theatre and Ballet Folklorico Nuestra Herencia. Mercedes was a part of the Russian Ballet of Orlando where she performed in a wide range of soloist roles in The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, Snow White, Cinderella, and West Side Story among others. In 2010 Mercedes danced with Ballet San Antonio before returning to Orlando to complete a degree in Graphic Design. Mercedes has performed as a guest artist with The Center for Contemporary Dance in various performances, in 2013 she continued performing soloist roles and teaching ballet with the Russian Ballet of Orlando. Recently, Mercedes performed in Washington, DC with Dissonance Dance Theatre. This is Mercedes’ first season with Brandon Ballet.
